Our Story

Beautiful, seasonal flowers grown in South East London.

My Story

Floralkind is a floral studio and cutting garden in South East London, specialising in natural, garden-inspired wedding and event florals with a wild, romantic feel.

I started growing flowers in 2020 and quickly fell in love with both floriculture and sustainable floral design. After retraining in floristry, I now spend my days growing beautiful blooms and dreaming up gorgeous designs, working with my lovely couples to make their wedding dreams come true!

I love that I get to be part of every stage of creating your wedding florals - nurturing those tiny seeds into baby plants, watching them grow, and then cutting armfuls to create flowery magic on your most special day.

There is really nothing like the beauty and scent of locally grown flowers, and Iā€™d love to share them with you!

Our flowers

Floralkind offers seasonal British flowers, sourced from local flower farms and homegrown in my Hither Green cutting garden.

My flowers are natural, romantic and abundant. I love to include wildflowers, lush foliage and sweet smelling herbs. I like to create pieces with a wild and organic feel, as if growing right there in your wedding venue!

Using only locally grown flowers means my designs are authentically seasonal - from the frothy blossom of Spring, to the dancing meadow flowers of Summer, to the rich jewel tones of Autumn and the lush greenery of Winter, I always select the best ingredients that nature has to offer.

Our Ethos

From day one, I have used 100% British grown flowers. Not only are locally grown blooms more beautiful, interesting and fragrant than imported flowers, they are far kinder to the environment.

Choosing wedding flowers grown close to home enables you to reduce the carbon footprint of your wedding, contribute to the biodiversity of your local area, and support the amazing British flower movement.

My fresh flowers are grown here in South East London or sourced from small scale British flower farms. I occasionally source flowers from larger British growers too, in order to meet demand or extend the fresh flower season.

I choose my suppliers carefully, so you can be assured your flowers are grown with respect for people and the planet.

I always use sustainable floristry techniques and mechanics - I have never used floral foam, and never will.
